Dorothy Agnes Salisbury, 85, of Traverse City passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born November 6, 1932 to Leo and Adline (Duperron) Gauthier in Empire, MI. She married Albert Salisbury on November 20, 1948 at a service in Maple City. Dorothy was employed by Burko Flexo Lures for 14 years and was a daycare provider for over 30 years. She loved her profession as a daycare provider and considered that her hobby, as well as she loved to play Bingo, cards and polka dance.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Doris (Patrick) Nelligan of Traverse City and Donna Koon of Traverse City; sons Allan (Deb) Salisbury of Tennessee and Albert (Janell) Salisbury of Bellaire; sisters Lucille (Ernest) Thomas and Beatrice (Edward) Peplinski; sister-in-law Betty Gauthier; 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Salisbury; parents Leo and Adline (Duperron) Gauthier; brothers Robert Gauthier, Fred Gauthier, Willard Gauthier, Elmer Gauthier, Harvey Gauthier, Leo Donald Gauthier and Adolph Gauthier; and infant son Edward Salisbury.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Christopher Cox will officiate the service.
