Obituary

Ruth Elizabeth McWatt, 93, of Glen Lake, accomplished her earthly journey and went to celebrate the Christmas season with her husband in Heaven on December 27, 2017.
Ruth was born April 4, 1924 to the late Emil and Ruth (Monson) Nusbaum in Detroit.
At the age of 3 she participated in her first piano recital. Ruth always believed her passion for music was her gift from God. Ruth encouraged many people to pursue music with her support and guidance.
Ruth was a kind and compassionate person that encouraged all she met through her gift of music and compassion for humanity.
She met George, the love of her life and together they spent 60 years making each other happy. Together they raised their family and they were active in their church and community. After retiring, they moved to Little Glen Lake where she was an organist and choir member at the Glen Lake Church. The Woman's Club and the Chamber of Commerce were among her many volunteer activities.
Ruth leaves behind three children; Douglas (Linda) McWatt, Janet (Joe) Eggli and Robert McWatt, sister in law Isle Nusbaum, grandchildren; Erin, Lindsay, Erica, Emily, Stephanie, Maggie and Derek, as well as 11 great grandchildren.
She is joining her husband, her brother Robert, her daughter in law Christine and many other extended family members and friends.
