Angela Jeanne Kirt

Traverse City - Angela Jeanne Kirt, 47, of Traverse City passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Munson Medical Center after a courageous 10-year fight with a rare lung disease.

Angela was born July 14, 1970 to Leslie Kirt and Bonnie Gamble in Traverse City. She attended Traverse City Central High School graduating in 1988. Angela worked at Munson Medical Center for 10 years as a cashier.

Angela was selfless and humble, happy no matter the situation, always putting others needs in front of hers. She had a beautiful smile and a special laugh that would warm the room. She loved all things 80s, especially her favorite artist Rick Springfield. Angela was an animal lover, especially fond of her dog Chloe.

Angela loved her family and fought so hard trying to overcome her illness so that she could continue to be there for her three daughters and her five grandchildren. Her favorite time of the year was Halloween and Christmas when the family would all gather together. She enjoyed trips to Elberta beach in Frankfort and taking car rides sightseeing. She was a huge fan of the Detroit Lions and Michigan Wolverine football.

She is survived by her daughters Ashley Kuehling, Brittany Kuehling and Courtney Kuehling; mother Bonnie (Rick) Gamble; aunts Sandra (Dennis) Schichtel and Pam Ryskamp; uncle David Halachukas; grandchildren Kayleigh, Brantley, Jaxson, Mason and Christian; and cousins Heather Ryskamp, Tyler, Eric and Logan Schichtel, Dave Jr and Brent Halachukas.

She was preceded in death by her father Leslie Kirt; grandparents Tony and Jeanne Halachukas; uncle Bob Halachukas; and James Keuhling, father of her daughters.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Pastor Paul Busekist will officiate.
