Fannie Mae Udell

Fannie Mae Udell, 78, of Traverse City went home to be with her Lord on Monday May 8, 2017 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions with her loving family by her side. Fannie was born on December 16, 1938 in Boyne Falls to the late Lewis and Stella (Coon) Magee. She married the late Clyde Raymond Udell on September 15, 1956 in Boyne City. Fannie Mae’s desire and passion were attending church, living a Christian life and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Zion Baptist Church where she loved teaching the little ones in Sunday School. Fannie was one to put others needs before her own and spent many years caring for those needing assistance through her work at In Home Health Care where she formed special friendships with many of her patients. Surviving Fannie are her children, Tina (Roger) Brown of Traverse City, Bonnie (Chuck) Stewart of Suttons Bay, Angela (Miles) Donkers of Interlochen, Jeffrey Udell of Texas, Jason Udell of Cedar, her grandchildren, Roger “Alan” (Megan) Brown of Alaska, Ryan (Talia) Brown of Saginaw, Rita (Dave) Jones, Caleb Brown, Corey Brown and Tasha Stewart of Traverse City, Michael Stewart of Suttons Bay, Amanda (Kreg) Hadley of Oklahoma, Jonathon Udell and Hannah Reed of Texas, Selene (Troy) Adamczyk of Ypsilanti, Sebastian (Robin) Donkers of Traverse City and Kyle Donkers of Interlochen and her great-grandchildren, Reese Jones, Violet Brown, Natalia McPherson, Madison Hadley, Dylan Hadley, Ryder Hadley, Emily Hockin, Alyson Hockin, a brother Hershall (Judy) Magee of Alden and many other loving family members and friends. Fannie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde, brothers Emerald and Marshall Magee, sister Josephine Montgomery, a great grandson Shjon Brown and her beloved cats Oliver and Dana. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 5-7pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 11am on Thursday, May 11 at Zion Baptist Church. Burial will take place at the Clearwater Township Cemetery in Rapid City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Zion Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
