Glen E. Cavanaugh, 73 years old, of Traverse City, MI passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 in the loving care of his family. Glen is survived by his wife of 50 years, Christine (Klimek); son, Glen, and his two grandchildren, Jake and Isabella, son Sean and daughter-in-law Allison and two grandchildren, Piper and Brady, sister Carol Cavanaugh, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Dolores Riser, Ronie and Gordie LaPointe, Janet Klimek and Cindy Hicks.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Florence Cavanaugh.
Glen was born February 5, 1944 in Monroe, Michigan, son of Glen and Florence Cavanaugh. He attended Airport Community High School in Flat Rock, Michigan, graduated from Eastern Michigan University, and an Air Force veteran 1961-1965. Glen worked for many years in Sales and Marketing for various technology companies. In the years before his retirement he was Corporate Vice President and Group President of Multimedia/Audio Communications Division of Telex Communications, Inc. Glen was a lifelong avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed many fly-fishing trips to Alaska with his two sons and friends. His Montana cabin had a special place in his heart where he loved to hunt deer and elk with his friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Joseph's Shrine, Irish Hills, MI 8743 US-12 Brooklyn, MI 49230, on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at 11:00 am, with a visitation one hour prior starting at 10:00 am.
