Glenda Lorene Jones, 79, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Munson Medical Center. Glenda was born on April 6, 1939 in Hazel Park, Michigan to the late Russell and Fern (Hill) Petrie. She married the love of her life Ralph Jones on March 29, 1958 in Royal Oak, Michigan. Glenda had been employed by Gulf and Western of East Jordan for over 25 years. She was a past President of her Local UAW, as well as a member of the Central Lake V.F.W. Post 6985 Auxiliary. Glenda was wonderful in the kitchen, she loved to bake and cook for her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing BINGO.
Glenda is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ralph, a son, Ralph (Stephanie) Jones and a daughter, Nancy Jones. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; James Boogren, Rick Boogren, Eric Jones, Michael Jones, Andrew Jones, Samantha Jones and Jessica (Steve) Ford and nine great-grandchildren; Skyla, James, Addy, Harmony, Aurora, Lyrica, Isabella, Chan and Mike.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Private family services will take place at a later date.
