Traverse City – Glenn Allen Moser , age 51, of Traverse City, passed away March 8, 2015, at Munson Medical Center after suffering a massive heart attack on January 23. Glenn was born October 2, 1963, at Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA to Barry and Deanna (Coyne) Moser (Oxford, MI).
Glenn is survived by his daughter Sara (Royal Oak), sister Kerri (Glenn) Biggs (Clarkston), Brother Scott (Rhonda)(Atlanta, GA), Brother Brent (Tamara) (Westland), Ten nieces and nephews, Jasmine (his faithful Shih Tzu companion), and many friends.
Glenn graduated from Southfield Lathrup HS (Southfield). He owned or operated several pizzerias in the Southfield area before relocating to Traverse City 20 years ago, working first in the pizza and restaurant business, and then working on construction, renovations, and tile work, primarily with MD Construction. He became a self-proclaimed "tile wizard", taking pride in his many projects in Traverse City or Southeast Michigan areas. His customers became friends, and his friends became like family. Glenn loved socializing and carrying on conversations with anyone he met.
Glenn also enjoyed fishing, kayaking, camping, do-it-yourself, cherry festival volunteering, concerts, and other outside activities, especially in the Traverse City areas. He enjoyed barbecuing and catering events where he specialized in creating new recipes. He always loved and cared for all animals, but especially his Shih Tzu's.
There will be no funeral or visitation. A memorial wake is being planned for late March in Traverse City and a memorial barbecue this summer in Clarkston. Glenn's remains will go on several trips with family and friends over the next few months to relive many of his favorite sites and experiences.
Glenn received outstanding professional and compassionate care at the Webber Heart Center. Memorial donations may be made to Munson Healthcare Regional Foundation [Attn: Heart Center], 1150 Medical Campus Drive, Traverse City, MI 49684.
