Obituary

Jamesine Theda Schultz, 55, of Cedar, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013.

Daughter of the late James and Dolia Giles, Jamesine was born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania on Thursday, October 24, 1957. She is survived by her best friend and husband, Dennis Schultz, brother James Giles of Traverse City, Aunt Luby Levkulich of Ohio, cousin Donna Levkulich of Ohio , many cousins and her extended Schultz family.

She graduated as a medical secretary from Bradford Business School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She worked for Headstart in Traverse City for 12 1/2 years.

Jamesine loved birds. In addition to feeding and enjoying the birds outside, she cared for many beautiful parakeets and two wonderful Cockatiels. Described by her sister in law, Evelyn, as a "Breath of Fresh Air", she touched many lives. A long battle with cancer took her life, but it never dampened her loving and forgiving spirit. She faced every new hurdle with amazing courage, never complaining. No matter how bad Jamesine felt, she treated everyone with kindness and compasssion. One of her joys and gifts was to make them laugh with her clever sense of humor.

Her greatest love was studying God's word. She enjoyed studying the Bible with Pastor Arnold Murray of Shepherds Chapel broadcast from Gravette, Arkansas.

As Jamesine requested, there will be no formal service. Informal visitations will be held on Sunday, Sept. 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at The Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
