BUCKLEY – John Archie Wilkins, 71, of Buckley passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at his home. John was born on July 3, 1945 in Detroit. He was married to Janice Francis on December 7, 1974 in Southfield. John had been employed by Chef Pierre and Sara Lee for over 30 years. John loved animals; he enjoyed raising and riding his quarter horses. He always owned a dog, Duffer was his constant companion. Over the years John had many animals; the rooster Walt, his pig Junior and countless rescue animals.

John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janice, two sisters; Carol Martines and Cathy (John) DuFour as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Ella Mae Wilkins.

Friends are welcome to visit with John's family from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
