Mary Elva Healey, "Mimi", 96, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on January 21, 2022 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.

Mimi was born on January 15, 1926 in Scranton, PA to the late William F. and Elva (Pippet) Healey.

Mimi lived most of her life in Pennsylvania and remembered her time there fondly. In her younger years she worked for Wm. H. Rorer Inc. Pharmaceutical Company in the sales and marketing department for 24 years.

Mimi was an avid reader. Her appearance was always very classy, she loved having her nails done and had a passion for shopping. She enjoyed cocktails with friends and family and to make others laugh and smile. She had a wonderful, witty sense of humor; always telling a joke at just the right time. Her love of teddy bears was apparent to anyone who met her. Over her lifetime she was given more teddy bears than one could count; acquiring quite the collection! She enjoyed displaying them and sharing stories about them with others. Mimi will fondly be remembered for her kind and caring ways.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers William F. Healey Jr. and John Healey, nephew W. Thomas Healey and brother-in-law Edward A. Hall.

Mary is survived by her sister Jo Hall of Traverse City; sister-in-law Dorothy Healey of Dallas, P.A.; nieces and nephews Michael (Ruth) Hall, Susan (William) Gaston, Maureen (Todd) Knipe, Jennifer (Patrick) Bard, Lisa (Tim) Bright, Paul Healey and Mary Jo (Chuck) Healey and many great nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 1:00 with visitation beginning at noon.

Interment will follow at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to the Grand Traverse Pavilions. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the care givers at the Pavilions for their love and care over the past two and a half years.
