Traverse City - Mary Melvina Kurina, 89, of Maple City, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2014. Mary was born on May 29, 1925 in Chuckey TN, to her parents the late John and Winnie (Gray) Miller.

Mary married her beloved husband the late Joseph Kurina in Detroit and they raised one child together. She was employed as a line assembler for United Technoligie for 18 years.

Mary is survived by a daughter-in-law, Diane Marie (Flees) Kurina; grandchildren, Angie (Jon) Wickham, Jacqueline (Eric) Francis, Jerry Kurina, Jeffery Kurina; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Alyssa, Sidney, Kayla, Hannah and Oliva.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Kurina; son, Larry Kurina.

Following the wishes of the family cremation has taken place.
