Williamsburg – Myron Hulyk, age 95, of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Friday, August 5, 2016. He is now resting in the arms of His Lord and reunited with his dearly departed wife of 46 years, Adeline.
Myron proudly served his country as a WWII Marine in the South Pacific. He had a long, successful career in automotive drafting and design at the Fisher Body division of General Motors. Myron was a most avid golfer. He caddied as a very young man and passed his love of the game on to his family. Ever the designer, Myron patented his Stroke Setter putter design. The 11th family golf tournament event "The Myron" was recently held this year at LochenHeath where Myron drove the opening ball. He was a man of quiet dignity who had a charming wit and love for children.
Myron is survived by his children; Sandra S. Denton (Robert), Nancy A. Lisabeth (Victor), John M. Hulyk (Lori). Grandchildren; Thomas R. Denton (Rebecca), Jay M. Denton (Amy), Jonathan R. Denton (Brenna), Derek J. Lisabeth (Erika), Renee M. Galvas (Curtis), Nicole A. Lisabeth, Andrew J. Lisabeth (Jessica), Karl G. Hamina IV. Great-grandchildren; Isabella Denton, Hayden Denton, Nolan Denton, Claire Denton, Kiersten Lisabeth, Connor Lisabeth, Norah Denton, and Henry Denton.
A memorial service honoring Myron's life will take place on Friday, August 12, 2016, at Christ the King Catholic Church, with a visitation from 9:00 am – 10:00 am. A memorial mass will take place at 10:00 am with Rev. Raymond Cotter officiating. Immediately following mass, a luncheon will be held at the LochenHeath Members Pavilion, 7951 Turnberry Circle, Williamsburg, MI 49690. A graveside service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery on Friday, August 12, 2016, at 3:00 pm.
