Phyllis Irene Gallaher, 86, of Traverse City passed away June 17, 2017 at Munson Medical Center.

Phyllis was born on April 5, 1931 in Traverse City to the late James M. and Edith I. (Hermel) Hartley.

Phyllis was a registered nurse. She was a devoted Christian and enjoyed studying God's Word. She attended First Christian Church. Phyllis was also a dedicated volunteer who loved to help people. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting. First and foremost, Phyllis loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her children Charles (Debbie) Gallaher of Tuscaloosa, AL, Mary Anne (Michael) Mitchell of Clinton, OH, Robert (Sue Ellen) Gallaher of Monaca, PA, Janet (Steve) Fabiszak of Traverse City and Timothy Gallaher of Traverse City; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Jeannette Fahlstrom, Mildred Hartley, Helen Oberholtzer and James Hartley and grandson Gabriel Gallaher

Phyllis will be interred at Oakwood Cemetery.
