Arlene R. Novak, 84, of Cedar joined her heavenly family on Tuesday, December 29th, 2020. Arlene was born September 1, 1936 to the late Isadore and Josephine (Bloswick) Stachnik. On August 13, 1955, Arlene married Adolph Novak. In her early years Arlene worked at Old Orchard Inn. After her marriage to Adolph and raising her family of six children Arlene started her business, Nails by Arlene and later worked as a cook at Maple Valley Nursing Home. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but most of all she cherished time with her family. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Eugene and Isadore Jr. Stachnik, and sister, Bonnie Winowiecki. Arlene is survived by her husband, Adolph of 65 years. Her children, Debbie Flees, Eugene (Grace) Novak, Chopper (Jan) Novak, Pam (Mark) Zientek, Robert (Johanna) Novak, and Darren Novak, grandchildren; Jenna Groll, Tara Novak, Amy Robinson, Robert Flees, Chad and Shawn Novak, Brandon and Nathan Zientek, Austin and Aaron Novak, and Krista Bidoul. Arlene is also survived by her 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Maxine Schopieray. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to express their sincere appreciated to Dr. Kelly Covell and staff at Munson Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 5th, 2021 at Holy Rosary Church in Cedar where a visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Father Ken Stachnik will preside. Arlene will be laid to rest immediately following mass at the Holy Rosary cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic please be respectful of others by wearing appropriate face coverings.
