Barbara B. Lehnhard, 93, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2019 at the Medilodge in Sutton's Bay under the care of Hospice of Michigan.

Barbara was born on August 18, 1925 in Oak Park, Il. She attended Stephens College and Northwestern University where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and received her BA in Education.

On October 16, 1948 she married the love of her life, Jack Lehnhard who has preceded her in death.

Barbara is survived by her children; Skip (Mary) Lehnhard, Bob (Lynn) Lehnhard, and Susy (Jim) Sanborn, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-granchildren, and her loving and devoted nieces and nephews.

Barbara was very active at the Father Fred Foundation for 15 years. She was dedicated to helping those less fortunate and humbly gave of herself.

Barbara loved playing bridge, gardening, reading, and in her more active years was an avid tennis player.

Friends may call on the family at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m. for visitation and memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. with Fr. Ken Stachnick presiding. Private family burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be directed to the Father Fred Foundation or Cherryland Humane Society
