Camille Ann Parker, 78, of Traverse City, Michigan passed away peacefully Sunday, October 31, 2021 ready to meet her Lord with open arms. Camille was born August 26, 1943 in Lansing to the late Robert and Ruth Hodge. After the war her family moved back to Traverse City where she would spend the rest of her life. Camille was a 1961 graduate of St. Francis High School. On September 25, 1965 she married the late Ronald Parker at St. Francis of Assisi Church, where she was a lifelong member. They were married for 52 years and together raised 5 children. She enjoyed having combined birthday parties with her grandson who was only an hour short of being born on her birthday. Her home was the neighborhood hangout making her door always open and being mom to blood and beyond. She was always happy to feed all the kids her children would bring home. She survived a brain aneurysm in 1990 and lived to see all 9 of her grandchildren be born and even 1 great grandchild. Camille is survived by two daughters, Jeannine (Justin) Halloway and Michele (Lynn) Paxton. Three sons, James Parker, Matthew Parker and John (Sally) Parker. Nine grandchildren, Jacob and Isaac Halloway, Desiree (Peter) Balentine, Sierra Parker, Jareth Parker, Caleb (Nora) Parker, Zacharee Parker, Sarah and Rachel Parker. And one great-grandchild, Parker Balentine. Her brother, Robert Hodge and several nieces and nephews and many cousins, stepgrandchildren, and great grandchildren. Camille is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ron. Her parents Robert and Ruth Hodge, her brother Dick (Dorothy) Hodge, sister Jeanne (Bob) Milne, her parent-in-laws Edwin and Edna Parker and in-laws, Mary Hodge, Don and Carolyn Parker, Leona Duckwitz and daughter-in-law Phyllis Parker. A Mass of Christian burial honoring Camille will take place on Saturday November 6, 2021 at 10:30am with visitation starting at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1025 S. Union St., Traverse City, MI 49684. The Rev. Fr. Don Geyman will officiate.
