Carol Elaine Bristol, 85, life long resident of Traverse City died August 29, 2018 at home with her family by her side.

Carol was born on September 6, 1932 in Traverse City to the late Carl I. and Mabel (Burgess) Cavitch.

On June 8, 1952 Carol married the love of her life, Danny L. Bristol Sr.

Carol was a Bus Attendant for TCAPS for 27 years, retiring in 1995. Following retirement, she and Danny spent the winter months in Leesburg, FL. In her free time she enjoyed camping, travelling and dancing at the Hayloft. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Eagles, and the Buckley Old Engine Show. Above all else she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband Danny in 2017, grandson, Chad Brown; and brothers Carl, Jerry, Richard, Andrew and Clifford Cavitch.

Carol is survived by her children; Margaret (Jerald) Bunker, Leesburg, FL, Danny Jr. (Gale) Bristol, Traverse City, Tina (Ryan) Kigar, Traverse City, Bethany (Jesse) Sipos, Spring Hill, FL, Linda (Mark) Douglass, Kingsley, Eugene Bristol, Saginaw; 11 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Carol will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday September 4, 2018 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held the next day, Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the funeral home at 11 am with a visitation one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of Michigan. The family would like to offer a special note of thanks to Linda, Pam and Elizabeth at Hospice of Michigan for their care and compassion.
