Dennis Theodore Gavin, 58, of Traverse City passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at his parent's home. Dennis was born on November 30, 1962 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to John "Jack" and Mary Lou (Coolsen) Gavin. He graduated from St. Francis High School in 1981. Dennis loved to follow sports, especially the Detroit Red Wings, he enjoyed attending many of the Red Wings' training camps at Center Ice Arena.

Dennis is survived by his loving parents, Jack and Mary Lou Gavin, his brother, Rev. Fr. Patrick Gavin, O. Carm., a niece, Brittany Wright and a nephew, Cody Wright.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Terrence Gavin and a sister, Kathleen Wright.

A Memorial Mass honoring Dennis will be held at a later date.
