Elizabeth Ann Wasson

February 3, 1964 - January 8, 2022

Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Wasson, 57, of Traverse City, stepped into the presence of her Heavenly Father January 8, 2022. Beth is survived by her husband, Dan Wasson and her children Marcus Wasson and Shelby Wasson, all of Traverse City; her brother Phil Dove of Spring Hill, TN, her Aunt and Uncle Sylvia and Leslie Scott of Hurt, VA, cousins Van Scott and Jill Scott-Davis, and many nieces and nephews. Beth was born on Sunday, February 3, 1964 to the late Donald and Jo Ann Dove in South Charleston, West Virginia. Following high school graduation from Port Washington High School in Port Washington, WI, she continued her education at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA where she earned a double major in Secretarial Science and Bible. Beth married Dan in 1989 and together they raised two children, Marcus and Shelby. Beth's passion was playing the piano, and working in her flower gardens. Beth's love for her family was abundant, she was at her happiest when the entire family was gathered together having fun and enjoying each other's company. Beth was a wonderful mother, daughter and wife. She was a true blessing to those that knew and loved her. Above all, Beth's love for Jesus was extraordinary, her faith never wavered. Her life's verse was Isaiah 26:3, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee". Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Uncle Roger Hill, grandparents Melvin and Helen Hill and Estie and Myrtle Dove. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A service celebrating Beth's life will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 14, also at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service. (The service will also be webcast at www.rjfh.tv for those not able to attend in person.) Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Rather than flowers, the family would like Beth to be remembered through donations to Hospice of Michigan, who so lovingly cared for Beth over the past months. Donations may be directed to Hospice of Michigan, 10850 E. Traverse Highway; Suite 1155, Traverse City, MI 49684 or online at www.hom.org.
