Glen "Ray" Roy Cochrane

Glen Roy “Ray” Cochrane, 95, of Traverse City passed away Tuesday December 17, 2019 at Bay Ridge Senior Apartments. Ray was born on October 19, 1924 in Manton, MI to the late Ernest and Irene (Wenzel) Cochrane. Honorably Ray served our Country in the United States Marine Corp during WWII and in the Navy during the Korean War. Ray has lived all over Northern Michigan including, Ludington, Muskegon, Cadillac, and eventually settling in Traverse City since 1972. He worked for Consumers Power and worked his way from a lineman to a supervisor. He was a devoted member of the Traverse Bay United Methodist Church, a life member of the VFW, Elks, and the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, making jewelry and raising roses. Ray was a good loving human and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving Ray are his children, David (Penny) Fisher, Sally White, Amy Cox, stepchildren, Patrick (Susan) Pahl, Michael (Katie) Pahl, Richard Pahl, Mary “Susie” (Grant) Marty, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and cousins. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Mary, second wife Maxine, and third wife Lois. A memorial service will be held for Ray on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Traverse Bay United Methodist Church at 11am. Burial will take place in the Spring.
