Hattie Peterson, 92, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on July 30, The family would like to thank the caregivers at Medilodge for their wonderful loving care.

Hattie was born on November 24, 1930 in Byron Township to the late John and Hendrikje Snoeyink.

On November 10, 1950, she married Donald Peterson in Spokane, Washington. Together they shared 68 years of love and laughter before he passed in 2018.

Hattie was a Personnel Supervisor and a legal secretary. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bridge, traveling, gardening and spending time outdoors. In her younger years she and Don loved to fly fish and bow hunt, although she admitted she could never shoot a deer. She also enjoyed fellowship at the First Congregational Church. Above all else, she cherished being a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, great grandma and friend.

Hattie was preceded in death by her three siblings, Albertus "Bert", Susie and John.

Hattie is survived by her daughters Christine (Charles) Breen and Dianne Grix; grandchildren Shannon (Jeff) Peters, Stacy (Adrian) Ellenwood, David Grix and Daniel (Frances) Grix; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The memorial service celebrating her life will be held in October at the First Congregational Church. She and her beloved husband Don will be laid to rest in the Garden of Remembrance.
