Karen E. Kroesing, 80, of Traverse City, passed away July 6, 2023.
She was the daughter of Raymond and Gladys (Dunlop) Wolf.
The majority of her life was spent in her favorite place, downtown Traverse City. She loved everything local. For the thrills, she would often venture to Goodwill to add another red, white or yellow vase to her vast collection, or another garment to her already impressive wardrobe.
She adored her family, her pets and her community. She doted on them all especially her animals; the dogs, the birds and even her potbellied pig.
Her musical appreciation began at a very young age with her father being a piano tuner. Karen's talents included the organ, guitar and harp.
In 1977 she began her career at Munson Medical Center in Central Processing and retired in 2014.
She is survived by her sons Jeff (Penny) and Corey, daughter Tammy (Scott), grandchildren; Andrea (Kyle), Alex (Bethany), Greg (Beth), great grandchildren; Logan, Easton, Raelynn and Hayden, siblings Cheryl, Raymond, Dennis, Deanna and boyfriend Tom Hubel.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Saundra.
A time to gather will take place on Friday July 14th at 10:00am at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with a procession to Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens for a graveside committal service.
