TRAVERSE CITY – Kay Francis (Clark) Lopinski, age 78, of Traverse City, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Medilodge of Leelanau in the loving care of her family. Kay was born in Saginaw, MI on August 19, 1941 to Frank and Elaine (Thrasher) Clark. She attended Kendall School of Design, where she met the love of her life Thomas Lopinski and were married October 19, 1963. Kay was a very giving person who had a passion for the Arts, whether theater, dance or painting. Kay was known for her ability to make anyone feel like the center of attention with her compassionate spirit. She owned Kaytom Hand Crafts, managed a family company, Godfrey Moving and Storage and was top regional inside sales representative for Morse Moving and Storage, before retiring. Kay is survived by her husband Tom, daughter Kari (Dave) Acha, grandchildren McKaely (Matt) Johnson, Max Ludka, Sam Ludka, Hunter Acha and great-grand daughter Henley Elaine. She also leaves her dearest sister Connie Jo Suiter, along with her special nieces, Connie Lynn and Lori Lynn. A memorial service celebrating Kay’s life will be held on August 15th at 3:00 pm, located at 1764 Buckhorn Trail, Interlochen, MI 49643.
