Loren F. Bass
October 7, 1946 - August 9, 2021
On Monday, August 9, 2021, Loren Bass passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Tucked amongst his things, written in his own impeccable penmanship, was found a Thomas Jefferson quote that sums up his life's philosophy: "I had rather be shut up in a very modest cottage with my books, my family and a few old friends, dining on simple bacon, and letting the world roll on as it liked, than to occupy the most splendid post, which any human power can give.” He is survived by his loving wife Connie and his children; Kirsten, Katie, Chris and Dylan (Elder); his brother Dick (Cheryl) Bass and their family; a special aunt Marjorie (Tom) Ashmore; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Loren's wish was for no formal service but with a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers you may make a contribution to the Skin Cancer Foundation at give.skincancer.org
