Lorin Koehler, 62, of Oakharbor WA, unexpectedly passed away September 22, 2019 after traveling to Traverse City, to pay his final respects to his father Owen Koehler whom passed September 11, 2019. He was born in Muskegon, MI to the Owen and Beatrice (Hall) Koehler on November 11, 1956. Lorin was one of four children and he leaves behind his brother Monte (Lori Mattson), and sisters Brenda Pepper and Connie (Ralph) Hintsala as well as his mother. His world revolved around three things, his love for his wife, his love for his family and his love for his country. He was a career Navy man internationally stationed in many countries, Japan being one of his favorites. Lorin had a real appreciation for and respect for other cultures and environments. He openly shared this with his family. Lorin could be characterized as a unique man but his love was fierce and he protected his own. He was so proud of his whole family, especially is wife. She was his everything and he would see to it that she was respected and honored by all. He was passionate about many things, including his love to work with wood creating meaningful art pieces for his friends and family. Lorin is survived and missed dearly by chiiko Ai Koehler wife ,Elana mako Koehler daughter,todd Michael Meyers son in-law, Saitiz Adalena Ai Koehler/Ramirez granddaughter, Mateo futamie Ramirez grandson , Jerome koji Meyers grandson , son in-law's mother Patricia Meyers and family friends; futamie warren,Tomiko Quinn ,Kazuko Garcia and Rudy Garcia.
