WILLIAMSBURG — Marilyn Ann Brunackey, 73, of Williamsburg, died Sunday morning, Aug. 14, 2011, at her home, surrounded by her loving daughters. Born March 9, 1938, in Marquette, she was the daughter of the late Merle Sr. and Vernetta (Riopelle) Comstock. Marilyn was a longtime resident of the Grand Traverse area and was a dedicated member of Christ the King Catholic Church.She enjoyed playing a good round of golf and participating in various activities with her many dear and loyal friends. Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Andrea Brunackey, of Torch Lake, and Renée (Steve) Discher, of Plano, Texas; two grandchildren, Kayla and Kristy Discher; siblings, Merle Comstock Jr., of Bear Lake, and Elizabeth Comstock Korejsza, of Westland; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.Memorial services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Raymond Cotter will serve as the celebrant.In remembrance of Marilyn, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
