Orelle B. Barrett, 90, of Traverse City, Michigan passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Medilodge GTC. Orelle was born on February 2, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Hugh and Dorothy (Marx) Rudd. She graduated from Sexton High School in Lansing. She married the love of her life, Don Barrett in 1948. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2015. In 1949, the young couple purchased Jim's and renamed it Don's Auto Trim. They settled down in East Lansing and raised a family. In 1983, they opened Barrett's Auto and Marine Trim in Traverse City. They closed the Lansing store in 1986. Orelle also was an agent for Real Estate One. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Traverse City. Orelle loved spending her summers at Dorsey's Park on Little Glen Lake.

Orelle is survived by, two sons; Paul (Mary) Barrett, Todd Barrett and a daughter Beth Tisdale. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler and Damian.

She was predeceased by three brothers; Don, Dick, and Lowell as well as a sister, Marjorie.

A memorial service honoring Orelle, will take place at 3:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St, Traverse City, MI, 49684. Pastor Paul Busekist will officiate.
