Obituary

Quintus A. Stulz, Jr., 99 of Traverse City, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Bay Ridge Assisted Living Center.
Quint was born on May 4, 1922 in Detroit, MI to the late Quintus A. Stulz, Sr. and Mozelle (Pemberton) Stulz. He married Betty J. Wooll on June 24, 1944 in Detroit. Together they raised four loving children.
Although he was unable to serve our country in the U.S. Armed Forces, Quint proudly served on the Homefront at the Warren, MI factory as Supervisor of 40 women who made valuable parts for bombers. He then became a Journeyman Electrician. He was a member of the IBEW, Local #58 for over 65 years.
Quint was an active member of Central United Methodist Church and served as Exalted Ruler at the Elks Club in Plymouth, MI. There he devotedly went through the chairs and earned all but one "State Champion" award, a very rare accomplishment.
In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, donating many toys to children in need. Quint, along with his wife, Betty, participated in events at the Senior Center and was especially fond of the shuffleboard tournaments. He also enjoyed attending auto and boat shows and was an avid Tigers Baseball fan. BINGO was a favorite pastime as well as walking in the mall alongside many friends over the years.
Surviving Quintus are his children; Linda (Glenn) Harker of Traverse City, Norman (Sharon) Stulz of Houghton Lake, MI/The Villages, FL, Edith (Tom) Wysocki of Plymouth, MI and Beverly (Matt) Rocha of Waterford, MI, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
Quint was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty of almost 70 years, grandson Judson Waack and five siblings.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Central United Methodist Church, 222 Cass St, Traverse City, MI 49684 with a visitation held one hour prior. Pastor Linda Stephan will officiate. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Elks Lodge, 625 Bay Street, Traverse City, 49684.
Remembrance donations may be directed to Central United Methodist Church or Hospice of Northern Michigan.
