Richard Gray

December 6, 1986 - January 17, 2022

Richard James Gray, 35, of Traverse City, passed away after an accident on January 17, 2022. He is survived and missed fiercely by his wife Danielle and his children Richard C, Alice, Eleanor and baby number four due in September. Richard was born on December 6, 1986 to James and Kimberley (Orr) Gray in Livonia, MI. He was one of two children leaving behind his sister Joanna. Richard was generous to the core, hardworking and supportive and just a plain wonderful guy. He was a lover beyond measure, a Pepsi drinking geek and a true super fan to the Detroit Tigers. His signature dish was lasagna and his quick-witted jokes would make a room erupt in laughter. Richard was very involved in Boy Scouts and proudly wore the badge of Eagle Scout. He loved to learn, had a passion for reading and he never missed a moment to just show up and be present in your life and in your heart. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday January 25, 2022 from 6-8pm at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a rosary recitation at 5:30pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Church at 11:00am with visitation from 10-11am. He is survived by his wife, children, parents, sister, many extended family members and his brothers and sisters of the waters.
