Rosalind "Linda" Rutman, 73, of Traverse City, passed away February 28, 2020, with her loving family surrounding her.
Linda was born on June 25, 1946 to the late Jeremiah and Regina (Hogan) Moynihan in Chicago, IL.
Linda has been living in Traverse City since 2001 after moving from Troy, MI. She earned her Bachelor's degree and worked as an RN in home health care and consulting. She inspired one of her two daughters to become a nurse even though the joke was always for Linda to say don't ever become one. Linda was an Emeritus at Michigan Home Health Assoc. and President of HOA.
Her list of accomplishments continues with publishing a book, being a pretty achieved golf player, writing, puzzles and her grandchildren. Well beyond the listed items and so many more, her biggest accomplishment was being the worlds best mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, not to mention wife. Linda exemplified what it was to be a humanitarian, giving so passionately and selflessly to everyone. Her time of giving extended well beyond just her career and she was able to touch so many lives. She really did have a heart of gold.
Two very notable memories are "fun journeys" and "spoil town". To know of either of them and to participate, made you a very lucky and blessed person.
The legacy of Linda will live on in the hearts and the actions of her children, her grandchildren and her husband.
Linda is survived and missed dearly by her husband David, her daughters Michelle (Almantas Galvanaaskas) Stock, and Laura Gougherty, step sons; Larry (Mary), Brian (Joelle), Shane (Jane) and grandchildren; Saulius, Andrius, Mia, Kristian, Alyssa, Brandon, Alexandra and Jackson, as well as sister Jeanne (Donald) Piche and sister-in-law Susan Moynihan.
She is reunited with her brother Gerald, her stepson Brad and her parents.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
