June 1, 1949 - April 29, 2021
Sandra “Sandi” Lee Singleton, 71, of Elk Rapids, Michigan went home to Jesus on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Sandi was born on June 1, 1949 in Traverse City, Michigan to the late Ralph and Marjorie (Thompson) Nelson. Sandra’s faith was the foundation from which everything flowed. For over 40 years she was actively involved with, and deeply loved, her church family. She was always a part of her children’s many activities and her family grew to include several exchange students from all over the world. She was a wonderful artist and blessed her family with many lovely gifts. Above all, spending time with her family was her greatest joy. Sandra is survived by her three children; Traci (Aaron) Joseph, Jodi (Raymond) Metcalf and Chari Singleton. Also surviving are grandchildren; Ashley, Michelle (Zachary), Leigh Anne, John, Ray III (Mindy), Amber-Lee, Ralph, and Zechariah; five great-grandchildren; two sisters; Sally Nelson and Suzanne Hutchcraft, three nieces, and a nephew. A memorial service honoring Sandra will take place at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Living Hope Church, 3050 W. South Airport Rd, Traverse City, MI, 49684. Pastor Carey Waldie will officiate. All COVID-19 Protocols will be observed. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial donation to Munson Hospice House. Please feel free to share your thoughts and memories with Sandra’s family at her tribute page at www.reynolds-jonkhoff.com. The family is being cared for by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
