Shirley Lorraine Gady, 93, of Traverse City (formerly Alpena), passed away just shy of her 94th birthday on April 4, 2022.

Shirley was born in Barbeau, April 9, 1928, daughter to Eli and Annie Moran (Haynes).
Shirley worked in the Alpena Public School District for many years. She retired in 1987 as the lead cook.
She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alpena. She moved to Traverse City in 2020 to be closer to family and joined Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving her are children Roger (Tamara) of Moran, Charmaine (Wayne) Girard of Ossineke and Chonda (Scott) Baggerly, of Traverse City; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roy A. Gady; daughter Sharon and all of her numerous siblings.

Services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11:30 AM. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM and continue until the time of service.

Interment will take place at a later date in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Sault Ste. Marie.
