Tammy S. Hubschneider
Tammy Sue Hubschneider (Stahl) passed away peacefully July 7, 2019 at home, surrounded by her three sons, husband, close family friend and her beloved puppies. Tammy was born July 2, 1961 in Mt. Clemens, MI to parents Robert (Bob) Stahl and Alice Stahl (Bryson).
Tammy grew up on Lake Leelanau just outside Cedar, MI. A place she loved with people she cherished. Fortunately for Kurt, Tammy moved to Traverse City in 1977 her junior year of high school. She started attending Central High School where Tammy and Kurt were reunited after a brief meeting a few months previous. They fell madly in love and were destined to be together. Kurt has recounted many times after their first date, he went home and proclaimed, at 17, he had met the girl he was going to marry.
Tammy grew into a marvelous woman. Everyone that knew Tammy saw her as one of the kindest people they have ever met. Tammy was also very driven and incredibly intelligent. She took it upon herself to spend countless hours learning to program software and build websites for the family business. She would stay on a task for days, even weeks until it was done and done right.
Tammy was such a special soul. So kind, yet tough. She would bend but rarely break. She was always up to date on news and current events. Her husband says he would watch for news updates just to see if he could report something to her she didn't already know. Time and time again he heard, "I saw that." Tammy is preceded in death by her mother Alice; her father Robert and sister Lynn Salinski (Stahl); mother in law Geraldine (Jerry) Hubschneider. Tammy is survived by her son Justin of Traverse City; son Christopher of Applegate, OR; son Kyle of East Lansing; husband Kurt of Traverse City; brother Bobby Stahl; sister Debbie Hahnenberg (Stahl); sister in law and husband Lauren Oien (Hubschneider) and Chris Oien; brother in law Neale Hubschneider; brother in law Alan Hubschneider; sister in law and husband Dianna Lynn Gaddey and Roy Gaddey; beloved dogs Hershey, Bryson and Adora.
Her family's hearts will be broken forever from the loss of such an extraordinary and irreplaceable woman. Her husband and sons will never feel the unconditional love that emanated from the deepest depths of her being again. She truly was an incredible mom and wife. Her joy, quick wit, optimism, bubbliness, intelligence, determination, loyalty and predominant endearment will be missed incessantly. You will always be loved and missed Tammy Sue Hubschneider (Stahl)
A celebration of Tammy's life will be held on Sunday, July 14, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 6th St, Traverse City, MI 49684.
