Tandy Lynn Korb

Tandy Lynn Korb, 57 of Traverse City passed away December 22, 2021 at Munson Medical Center. Tandy was born on August 1, 1964 in Traverse City to the late Marvin Edward and Eva Bernice (Tharp) Hilden. Tandy graduated from Traverse City High School in 1982. She worked for Canteen and Lear Corporation, each for 11 years and most recently at Britten Banner where she helped with Production and Shipping. On October 28, 1988, Tandy married Daniel Joseph Korb. The two did everything together and were best friends and soul mates. In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts. She made many beautiful things. She also liked spending time outdoors; whether it was to go fishing in a boat or atop the ice or go camping in the summer months. She also was a great cook and a wonderful mom and grandma. She loved to spoil her grandchildren. She was a very caring and unselfish person. It was not uncommon for her to help pay for a stranger’s grocery bill or to give a person in the bottle return line her returnables when she could tell someone was in need. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Tandy was preceded in death by her parents and sister Tammy Tharp. Tandy is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years Dan; daughter Heather (Benjamin) Nemethy; son Mason (fiancé Kaitlyn Vezina) Korb; grandchildren Sarah, Mackenzie and Isaiah Nemethy and Gunnar and Ava Korb; siblings Thomas (Denice) Leonard, Tracy (Joshua) Smith, Tresha Willis and Troy (Jennifer) Hilden. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 10 am to 12 noon at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Donations in Tandy’s honor may be directed to Paper Angels; a group Tandy and Dan always supported.
