William "Bill" Vieracker

William “Bill” Vieracker, 57, born on May 14, 1964 to Carol (Knopf) and the late Richard Vieracker; passed away February 23, 2022 with his mother on the phone surrounded by his coworkers and found family in Laredo Texas. Bill was a 1982 graduate of Kalkaska High School. His passion was in heavy-duty mechanics. He spent his life working around semi trucks as a driver, dispatcher, and finally landing in Laredo Texas where he managed a mechanic garage at Dispatch Border Services. He loved to be on the road and turned his ideals of a lazy Sunday drive into a lifestyle and livelihood. Although Bill had struggles with his health from birth, he never allowed that to slow the pace of life. He truly could do anything that he set his mind to.He was a good man, a hard worker and a friend to both people and animals. He is survived and missed by his mother Carol Vieracker, brothers Bob and Rich (Candy), his daughter Kathryn, four nieces, and four nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Vieracker, and grandparents. A funeral service will take place on Saturday March 12, 2022 at 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church with a visitation from 10-11am. Bill’s final resting place will be Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Those wishing an expression of sympathy may consider a donation to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of one’s choice. Bill and his family are being cared for by the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
