Traverse City - Adam William Boyd, 32, of Traverse City passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 03, 2014.

Adam was born on Monday, April 19, 1982 to David and Joan (Maxbauer) Boyd in Traverse City, MI. He graduated from Traverse City West Senior High School and attended college at Michigan Technological University as well as Northwestern Michigan College.

Adam married the former Sarah Jane Donn, of Traverse City, on Saturday, September 20, 2008 in Northport, Michigan. Employed by Maxbauer Ace Hardware in their computer entry office, Adam enjoyed working with computers, and playing video games. He was a talented musician, playing soprano, alto and tenor sax, bassoon, and drums. He enjoyed drawing as well as scuba diving, snorkeling, camping, martial arts, and hiking with his dog Odin. In the winter he loved to snowshoe and snowboard.

Adam is survived by his wife Sarah; his parents, Joan and David Boyd of Traverse City, a sister, Sara Boyd of Ann Arbor; father and mother in law, Tim and Anne Donn of Traverse City, sisters and brothers in law, Elizabeth (Alex) Brand of Kalamazoo, Connor, Veronica and Haylie Donn of Traverse City; his grandparents in law, John and Jane Grigg of Traverse City and Marvin Donn of Plymouth. Adam is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.


A time for celebrating Adam's life will take place on Saturday May 17th, 2014 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Top of the Park in the Park Place Hotel.
