Albert "Dick" R. Carmien, 81, of Lake Ann, Michigan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at his home. Dick was born January 13, 1938 in Williamsburg to the late Aubrey and Louella (Boullion) Carmien. He graduated from Traverse City High School in 1956. He married the love of his life, Vera Mae Goin, on July 11, 1959 in Lake Ann. Dick had been employed with Cherryland Electric Cooperative, as a supervisor and underground engineer. He retired in 1994 after over 25 years of service. In his spare time, Dick enjoyed deer hunting, riding his snowmobile, playing golf and being at their cottage on Lake Ann. Above all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter Elsie, was his greatest joy.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Vera, a son, Max (Holly) Carmien a daughter, Amy Marie (Linda Peck) Carmien, his grandchildren; Jessica (Joshua Winowiecki) Carmien and Spencer (Jordan) Carmien and a great-granddaughter, Elsie Winowiecki. Also surviving are a brother; Aubrey "Butch" (Kathleen) Carmien as well as his nieces and nephews and special caregivers, Keith and Marie.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; Jeanette Dowd and Linda Weathers.

In accordance with Dick's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial graveside service will be announced at a later date.
