Alfred Romanowski, Jr., 70, died peacefully at his home in Traverse City on November 23, 2020.
Alfred was born on January 30, 1950 in Detroit, to the late Alfred and Genevieve (Ciesniewski) Romanowski. He served in the United States Navy as a radio operator during the Vietnam Era, and after his service he came home to marry his wife, Joanne on June 21, 1974.
Alfred loved music, was a terrific dance partner, enjoyed trips to the casino, was quick to laugh, and was fiercely loyal to his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joanne, his two children, Christie (Brent) Smith and Alan (Jamie) Romanowski, and siblings, Pauline Romanowski and Richard Romanowski. Alfred will also be lovingly remembered by his four cherished grandchildren, Mason, Elliot, Henry, and Maxwell. Also surviving Alfred are many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Romanowski.
In light of Covid-19, a memorial for Alfred will be held at a later date when friends and family can gather safely.
