Alger Robert Humphrey II, 63 of Grawn, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Munson Medical Center. Bob was born on April 1, 1958 in Traverse City to Alger Robert and Helen (Thayer) Humphrey. He married the love of his life Candice Spencer on May 18, 1985 in St. Ignace, Michigan. Bob owned and operated A. R. Humphrey Trucking and Excavating. Bob loved spending time with his family especially his kids and grandkids.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Candice, his mother, Helen Humphrey, a son and two daughters; Matthew Humphrey, Jennifer Amrhein and Jessica Humphrey and ten grandchildren; Caitlin, Madilynn, Carter, Michael, Chadwick, Kylee, Paisley, Piper, Parker and Mackenzie. Also surviving are two sisters; Pam (Owen) Grubaugh and Karen (Mike) Palmer as well as three nephews; Robert, Tyler and Corey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alger Robert Humphrey, his in-laws, Mark and Joan Spencer and a son-in-law, Nathanael Amrhein.

A celebration of Bob's life will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St. Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
