Alice Lucille Ashley, 100, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025 at Orchard Creek.

Alice was born on April 19, 1925 in Traverse City to the late Frank and Josephine Sanders.

In 1944 she married Herbert S. Ashley at St. Francis Catholic Church.

Alice was a devoted wife, mother and volunteer. She volunteered at Munson for 63 years. She was also passionate about donating blood and encouraged all those who could, to do so. In her younger years she fostered infants prior to their adoption, helping countless little ones in the early days of their life. In her free time, she also loved to bowl.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Herbert; three children Bonita, Jon and Vanessa; sisters Virginia and Elizabeth and her brother Clarence "Sandy".

She is survived by her son Terry; son-in-law Al Thomas; grandchildren Merle, Teresa, Nicole, Chad, Amanda and Ryan; several great grandchildren and many other extended family members and friends.

The funeral mass will be held in the chapel at St. Francis on ____ at ___ followed by interment at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to donate blood in her honor.
