Alice Joann Sensenbrenner Clark age 87 years, passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 2nd, 2023 in Traverse City, MI. Alice was born in L'Anse on May 5th 1936 where she grew up and attended High School. She then attended the University of Michigan and graduated with a degree in education. She taught elementary school in Warren and Rapid River and was an active member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). It was in Warren where she met and married her husband Norman Clark. Norman and Alice were married for 54 years before his death in 2017. She was a long time resident of the Gladstone area and later moved to Lake Ann after her retirement in 1994. She had a love of the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and birdwatching. She also became well known for her homemade greeting cards. She is survived by her brother Lyle Sensenbrenner, children Daniel, Timothy (Susan), and Judith (Daniel Elskens), and grandchildren Logan, Liesel, Stella, Julia, and Etienne (Elskens).
A Funeral Mass will be held at noon on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at St. Francis Catholic Church with a visitation held one hour prior.
