Alice Jeanette Waclawski, 94, of Traverse City passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at French Manor.
Alice was born on Thursday, May 17, 1923 to Joseph and Josephine (Rosinski) Waclawski in Cedar, MI. Her early professional life was spent in Detroit, but Alice lived in Traverse City for over fifty years. She worked at Burwood Manufacturing for many years. She was a member of St. Francis Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, baseball and flowers. She especially enjoyed being an aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Josephine (Rosinski) Waclawski; siblings Isadore, Edmund, Leonard, Blanche, Orpha, Noah, Leona, Clemence, Joe, Michaeline and Andrew.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at French Manor for the loving care they provided Alice.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Father Ken Stachnik will celebrate the funeral mass. Burial will follow the service at 2 p.m. at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
