Elmy K. (Inman) Wepking went to be with our Lord on Wednesday October 1st 2014. Born June 12th 1924, the daughter of Charles and Marie (Eitzen) Erickson. She was preceded in death by her first husband Donald Inman Sr. and second husband George Wepking, sister Dorothy Mogran, twin brother Elmer Erickson, eldest son Donald Inman Jr., and Grandson Bryson Sprandel.
Elmy was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Good Harbor MI, where she served many years as President of the Ladies Aide. A devoted Homemaker who also worked as the Head Housekeeper at the Leland Lodge. Elmy was well known for her cooking abilities as well as canned her own fruits and vegetables. Donald and Elmy raised a family of five on a farm in Cedar MI., where she helped with the family Well Drilling business. After Donald's passing she married George Wepking, where they spent many winters in Florida and summers in Traverse City. Elmy's passion was her family.
She is survived by her loving family: Duane (Helen) Inman, Grandchildren Robert Inman, Laura (John) Pfeiffelman and Amber Inman; Dan (Betty) Inman, Grand children Dan Jr. and Tina (Tom) Calley; Devon (John) Sprandel, Granddaughter Heather; Dale (Karen) Inman, Grandchildren Adam and Amy, Granddaughter Donna (Tom) King, Grandson Jim Pierce; daughter in law Bonnie Inman, Grandchildren Evonne Allard, Amy Naughtin; step daughter Judy McGee, Grandchildren Mike and Chris and many cherished great grandchildren.
Friends are welcome to visit with Elmy's family on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City, MI 49684.
A funeral service honoring Elmy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2014 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 2943 S. Manitou Trail, Cedar, MI 49621. Pastor Robert Wurst, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Grindstuen Cemetery.
