Traverse City - Alma Marguerite Korb, 69, of Traverse City passed away June 28, 2012 at Munson Medical Center.
Alma was born on May 11, 1943 in Traverse City to the late Virgil and Bernice (Wheaton) Hendges.
On September 24, 1960, Alma married Aron Korb.
Alma was a member of the Kalkaska Church of the Nazarene. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and yard-saleing. She loved to be out doors and go camping, hiking and canoeing. She also liked to fish, travel to the U.P. and hunt for mushrooms.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Diane Day and her son Raymond E. Korb.
Surviving Alma is her husband Aron, her son Richard (Dawn), and daughters Sherry Schimento and Kimberly Adamick, grandchildren Nicole, Heather (Brandon) Penick, Mark, Brittani, Myranda, Megan and Jessica, and great grandson Liam Michael Penick. She is also survived by her brothers Kenneth (Sandy) Hendges and John (Bridgette) Hendges, and sisters Katherine (George) Harrison, Darlene (Bob) Rasho, and Viann Markham.
A memorial service will be held at the Kalkaska Church of the Nazarene on Thursday July 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Kalkaska Church of the Nazarene or the charity of your choice.
