Our beloved mother, daughter, sister and aunt, Amanda Kuberski, passed away tragically on April 1. Amanda was a loving and empathetic person who was deeply cherished by many. She had a place in her heart for everyone and was always quick to help others through difficult times. Her kindness and glowing smile made everyone feel welcome and at home. Amanda had a gift for conversation and could easily connect with anyone she met.
Amanda was born on July 20, 1976, in Saginaw, Michigan. She was baptized and married at Holy Family Church to Tony Kuberski, with whom she raised her family. She attended Heritage High School. Amanda was active in soccer and basketball where she formed many lasting friendships. Amanda went on to graduate from Michigan State University in 1998 and was an avid Spartan fan. Amanda kept her competitive spirit alive watching her children participate in soccer, track and competitive downhill skiing all of which were exciting family gatherings. She also loved tending to her flower garden, which was admired by everyone who passed by.
Amanda dedicated her career to healthcare, working at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, and most recently at Thirlby Clinic in Traverse City as a medical technologist. She is survived by her three children, Lilly Kuberski, Addie Kuberski, and Nickolas Kuberski; their father Tony Kuberski: her parents, Dorothy (Charles) Wepking and Joe (Diane) Kiebel; her sisters, Gretchen Federico (Mark) and Kathryn (Donald) Kiebel Carlton; her nieces and nephew, Taylor and Reece Federico, and Lainey and Harper Carlton. Amanda will be forever loved and remembered by all whose lives she touched.
A memorial service will be held on May 7th at St. Francis Church in Traverse City at 11:00 a.m., with the public visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Amanda’s family welcomes flowers or donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan.
