Anakin Edward Sturtevant, 3, of Cadillac, received his angel wings on December 14, 2016, following a battle with Krabbe disease. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Anakin had touched throughout his short, yet memorable life.
Anakin's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him and though he spoke only a few words, his voice and thoughts could always be heard through his momma.
Anakin was born March 23, 2013 to Kristopher Sturtevant and Tori Boynton in Traverse City.
His illness was just a minor thorn in the young boy that Anakin was. He was a fighter, a lover, a snuggler, a hero and a son. He was a constant reminder to his parents of how perfect a child could be.
Anakin is survived and missed dearly by both his parents.
