Andrew Jonathan Nickels passed away on August 26, 2024 at Munson Medical Center.

Andrew was born on December 6, 1996 in Traverse City. He attended Traverse City High School and in his free time enjoyed spending time outdoors, listening to music and hanging out with his friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his little brother, Matthew.

Andrew was preceded in death by his niece Kadence and nephew Sawyer, Grandfather Rick Duncan, and Great Grandmother Esther Ramsay.

Andrew is survived by his parents, Jonathan Nickels and Beckie and Matt Duncan; siblings Ciera Beattie, Madison Crandall, Matthew Duncan and Chloe Duncan; paternal grandparents Mike and Lana Nickels and maternal grandparents Jan Wagner and Jan (Pam) Wagner; Grandmother Claire Duncan, Great Grandfather Lawrence Ramsay, Great Grandmother Dianne Greilick: Aunts Nancy (Charlie) Nickels
and Amanda (Bob) McQueer. Uncles John Wagner, Brentt Wagner and Josh Dean. Drew was loved by a large extended family including many great aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Andrew will be missed my many friends. Most importantly Andrew leaves behind sons Lucas and Levi and their mom Sarah Miller,

A memorial gathering will be held on September 15 at Feast of Victory Church between two and five PM. Friends and family are welcome to come during those hours and share memories.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Gift of Life who helped his family during this difficult time. Though his death brings immeasurable sadness, the family is comforted knowing that his final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ donation.
