Angeline "Ann" (Cozart, Eickenroth) Corner, 96, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully at
home on April 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Ann was born on April 17, 1928, to Edward and Pansy (Steele) Cozart and had been a lifetime
resident of Traverse City. Ann graduated in 1946 from Central High School. Married Floyd
Eickenroth on August 25, 1946 and had three children. Floyd died early in life. She graduated
Cosmetology School in 1959, opened Hair Styling by Ann in Grawn in 1965 with a second salon
in Traverse City, and Ann's Corner Hair Salon at her house on Silver Lake, enabling her to be at
home with her children. She worked until 2006. During her career she was secretary and
president of the local Cosmetology Association, and also served on the State Association
Board. She was actively involved with Zonta. She married Delbert Corner in 1979 and assisted
with his many projects including a trip to take World War II Veterans to Washington DC to visit
the WWII Memorial. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, friend and
hard-working business woman.
Ann was a member of Grawn United Methodist Church, a Devout Christian and always shared
the message of Jesus. The simple words that she spoke to her son, David, when he was
struggling, "You've tried everything else, son. Why don't you give Jesus a try?" was the start of
salvation for her son. The message continued to her siblings, children, grandchildren, extended
family, and friends. She was involved with numerous activities for the church including teaching
youth groups, Sunday school, and helping with the women's activities, continuing to spread the
message of Jesus. She wanted all to enter into the glorious presence of the Lord! Ann touched
many lives and will be greatly missed.
Ann is survived by her beloved family. Her children, David (Julie) Eickenroth of Traverse City,
John (Lorna) Eickenroth of Kingsley, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 9 great great
grandchildren.
