Obituary

MACON, Ga. — Anice Jeanette Newman, 88, of Macon, Ga., passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2012.

She was a member of the Vineville Baptist Church in Macon, Ga.

She was retired from the State of Michigan after 31 years of service.

Survivors include son and daughters, Leroy (Susan) Newman, of Virginia, Ann Marie (Donald) Blodgett, of Macon, Ga., and Nancy (Tom) Stubbs, of Macon, Ga.; grandchildren, Gary Blodgett, of Macon, Ga., Jeannette Blodgett, of Dublin, Ga., Lee Jordan, Pamela (Steve) Champ, of Virginia, Timothy (Wendy) Stubbs, of Macon, Ga., and Tara (Stephen) Stubbs-Olowoye, of Virginia; six great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Sheer, of Michigan; sisters, Roberta Balch, of Mississippi, and Fern Chupp, of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Grawn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
