Ann P. Devergilio

Ann Patricia DeVergilio, 78, of Elk Rapids, MI passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City. Ann was born on October 21, 1937 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Norman and Marion (Stow) Maurer. She married her high school sweetheart Larry DeVergilio in Detroit on April 26, 1958. Ann was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her interests included the Elk Rapids Garden Club and ladies' stitching group. She loved her Irish Setters and was a member of the Irish Setters Club of Michigan. Figure skating was also a lifelong love of Ann's. Above all, spending time with her family was her greatest joy. Ann in survived by her loving husband of 58 years Larry and their three children Gerry (Nancy) DeVergilio, Laurie (Denny) Gretel and John (Janet) DeVergilio. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Adam and Kaitlyn DeVergilio, Drew and Emily Gretel, and Mathew and Hannah DeVergilio. She was preceded in death by her brother David Maurer. Friends are welcome to visit with Ann's family at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 143 Charles, Elk Rapids, MI 49629.

Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 with Rev. Fr. Robert J. Zuchowski presiding.
